Purbeck's Web Camera Help

Located at the Swanage NCI Coastwatch Hut at Peveril Point

If you are running the camera for the first time you will have to download an ActiveX script. This script is digitally signed and Thawte authenticated from Meritliln. The download page should pop up when you first load the page. Click yes to download and install. It should only take a few seconds to install and then the live video feed should work. You may have to refresh your page. If this script does not install it may be that you need to change your security settings to allow ActiveX to run. You can find the settings for ActiveX under IE->Tools->Options->. You can temporarily change you security level to low, install the ActiveX control and then put it back to medium again. Once the ActiveX script has installed the camera will work.

Are you using Internet Explorer? The camera is Internet explorer dependent. For a java version of the camera click here, this may require you to have Java installed on your PC. If you have had the camera working before but now it won't display. If the camera image won't display it may mean that there are too many people viewing the camera. Try waiting for 5 to 10 minuets and then try again.
