East Holme
East Holme is tiny with a few plain cottages close to the ford and the Holme Priory and the church standing apart. The footpath across the park to the church is signposted and passes in front of Holme Priory, a fine late 18th century house on the site of a small Cluniac Piriory. The Priory church survived as the parish church until 1715. A new parish church was built in 1865 to the design of John Hicks and is now one of his most elaborate churches built with local materials.
