Winfrith Newburgh
An attractive village with a cottagey main street and some large Georgian houses. The church of St Christopher has a handsome early 13th century chancel with scallops, an intricate north doorway, part Norman, part 1854, and a pretty 15th century window in the south aisle. The surrounding heathland is very good for wildlife and plants.
