Purbeck District Council carries out surveys and
consultations which help guide Council policies, from one-off
questionnaires and regular surveys about particular services, to
the new statutory Place Survey which will be carried out every two
years by all councils.
We have different ways of learning what people
think and want to make it easy for you to feed back your
views. We might send you a questionnaire, write a feature in
the Council’s newspaper About
Purbeck invite you along to an exhibition or hear from you
at a public meeting.
The Council continually strives to improve services for its
residents and the responses to surveys have helped in the
formulation of the Council’s revised Corporate Strategy (published in early
2009).
The Annual Report, which we included
with the summer edition of About
Purbeck, sets out how we are progressing against those
priorities.
In carrying out consultation, the Council adheres to the
Consultation Charter which governs consultation principles.
We must also abide by other statutory acts including the Data
Protection Act 1998.
