Electoral Administration Act 2006

The Electoral Administration Bill received Royal Assent and became an Act on 11 July 2006.  The Act aims to make improvements to four key areas at the core of a healthy democracy:

 

  • Improving Access and Engagement
  • Improving Confidence
  • Extending Openness and Transparency in Party Financing
  • Maintaining Professional Delivery of Elections
