Information about composting garden waste

What can I do with my garden waste?

Up to 15% of overall household waste is made up of garden waste. To help reduce this waste going into landfill and creating greenhouse gases, the Council, together with the Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP) is promoting the use of home composting by offering composters.

I would like to compost my garden waste, but I don’t have enough room for a composter, what can I do?
Take your garden waste to the nearest Household Recycling Centre at Panorama Road, Swanage or Westminster Road, Wareham.  Both of these centres also sell bags of compost made up from garden waste!
