Capital Strategy 2006-2011
The purpose of the capital strategy is to
provide the overall policy framework for capital investment from
2006 to 2011. It is based on the Council’s Corporate Strategy
for the same period, translating it into the needs for capital
investment. The Corporate Strategy recognises the importance
of the national priorities of crime, health, transport and
education and the shared priorities agreed by the Government with
the Local Government Association, as well as those that are more
locally based.
Medium-Term Financial Strategy
2009-2014
The purpose of the medium term financial strategy is to
provide the overall context for the Council’s investment in
services from 2009 to 2014. That investment may be from
revenue or capital funds. The medium term financial strategy
also deals with the financing of that investment.
