The aim of the Supporting People programme is to help vulnerable
people to live independently in the community by providing housing
–related support.
In Dorset, the Supporting People programme is
administered by the County Council on behalf of the 6 authorities
(Christchurch, Purbeck, Weymouth and Portland, East, North and West
Dorset), the probation service and the Primary Care Trust.
