Tenant Services Authority (TSA)

Formed on 1 December 2008, the Tenant Services Authority (TSA)
is the new regulator of housing associations. Housing
associations are also known as registered providers.
The goal of the Tenant Services Authority is to raise the
standards of service tenants receive and the Authority has the
power to take action against those who do not deliver.
Between the 19 January 2009 and the 11 March 2009 the Tenant
Services Authority embarked on a National Conversation to help draw
up a set of standards for housing associations which landlords will
be monitored against.
In addition to seeking the views of tenants the Tenant Services
Authority has also been actively seeking the view of
landlords. The results of the National Conversation will be
published shortly.
