Detailed Development Control Policies Consultation

Development control policies are used by the Council to determine planning applications for development. Currently the Purbeck District Local Plan (2004) provides local policy guidance. We are proposing to replace the Local Plan with up to date policies that consider changes to national and regional guidance and reflect local circumstances. Government Office of the South West (GOSW) has recommended that rather than preparing a separate Generic Development Control Policies document, we incorporate our development control policies within the Core Strategy. An Issues and Options paper was subject to public consultation from 2 June until the 14 July 2008.
