Bere Regis youth shelter gets a clean-up
Bere Regis Parish Council has joined forces with the
local community to get graffiti removed from their youth
shelter.
The removal of the graffiti was raised as a
key priority for the improvement of the area by the Parish Council
and the local community. Specialist contractors had to be
brought in to remove the graffiti and this was funded by the Parish
Council and the PACT (Partners And Communities Together) Panel.
Bere Regis Parish Council is keen to continue
the good work of keeping the area clean and safe and has nominated
Councillor Peter Wharf as the village’s lynchpin to ensure this
happens.
Councillor Wharf said: “I am pleased
that the Parish Council has been able to work with the local
community and PACT Panel to get this graffiti removed. This
has improved the area, giving local youths an attractive area to
meet and I look forward to future initiatives which will enable
everyone to get involved in keeping our village clean and
safe”.
