CANCELLED - Learn about the Purbeck Stone Centre Project
We regret these events will not be taking place
tonight. Please look out for further details of future
events. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience
caused.
Members of the local community are invited to find out
more about the Purbeck Stone Centre Project at Langton
Matravers.
Two events are taking place this week, on
Thursday 28th February at Langton Matravers Village Hall,
6.45pm–8.30pm and on Friday 29th February at The Mowlem Community
Room, Swanage, 2.00pm – 3.45pm
The Purbeck Stone Centre is an exciting
project that will see a group of disused farm and quarry buildings
in Langton Matravers restored and renovated. This will create a
Centre where people can learn the traditional skills of stone
carving and masonry and where professional carvers can hire space
to work stone in their own time.
Come along to find out how you can be involved
with this exciting project. The events will provide a chance to
view photographs of the site in its current state and artists
impressions of how the completed centre will look. There will be a
short talk with plenty of opportunity for questions and discussion
and refreshments will be provided
