Purbeck Bus Passes to remain valid until 30 April

Local bus operators have been asked to accept Purbeck District Council bus passes that expire on 31 March  for another month,  until 30 April. These bus passes will be valid for travel within Dorset, including Poole and Bournemouth. The new national bus passes should be delivered within the next few days.

Phil McStraw, Head of Revenues and Social Support at Purbeck District Council, said: "We are working with local bus operators to ensure that Purbeck residents don’t miss out.  Anyone who has not received their new pass by 1 April can continue to use their old pass until 30 April”

The new national bus pass will take the form of a plastic smartcard, and nearly 7 million of them will be delivered around the country in the space of two weeks.
