New Leader of Purbeck District Council Announced
The Conservative party took minority control
of Purbeck District Council at last night’s Annual General
Meeting.
With no political group on the Council having
overall control - Conservatives have 11 seats, Liberal
Democrats 11 and the Independents 2 - the Conservatives will form a
'minority' administration.
Leader of the Council was named as Cllr
Gary Suttle, Swanage South and the Chairman is Cllr Gloria Marsh,
Swanage North.
The new Leader of the Council, said: “We are
delighted to have the opportunity to lead the Council again.
It will be our intention to work closely with both of the other
groups for the benefit of the community”.
