Find out about Real Nappies

Nappuccino is taking place on Saturday 12 April, at 1.30 pm, at
the Springfield Hotel, Stoborough, where parents can come
along for a coffee and find out more about Real
Nappies.
Real Nappies are fully washable and reusable
and come in all shapes and sizes to fit baby to toddler and not
only help protect the environment, but save money too. Using
real nappies could save you up to £600 for the first child and they
can be reused for subsequent children for even more savings!
Real Nappies will be on display at the event
and a nappy adviser will be on hand to answer any
questions.
Jan Dutton, Environmental Services Officer,
Purbeck District Council, said “Purbeck District Council is
committed to reducing the amount of waste sent to landfill.
By using Real Nappies, parents are cutting down on the 8 or 9
million disposable nappies that are thrown away every day in the UK
alone.”
Real Nappy Week is organised by the Women’s
Environmental Network and supported by the Waste & Resources
Action Programme and Purbeck District Council.
The Real Nappy scheme is supported in Dorset by Dorset County
Council as Purbeck parents can now get up to £30 towards the cost
of modern washable nappies by applying for a voucher or refund*
from Dorset County Council.
* Itemised receipt must be sent as proof of purchase to Dorset
County Council.
