FAIRTRADE is
about better prices, decent working conditions, local
sustainability, and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in
the developing world. In the long term this establishes more
sustainable communities; an aspiration shared here in Purbeck and
in the developing world.
What is the FAIRTRADE MARK?
The FAIRTRADE MARK is an independent consumer label which
appears on products as a guarantee that these conditions have been
met. It is awarded by the Fairtrade Foundation: an international
network of 20 organisations that are members of the standard
setting and certification body, Fairtrade Labelling Organisations
International (FLO).
