The Purbeck Community Safety Action Group is
district based group that meets on a quarterly basis to tackle
community safety issues in Purbeck
Aims
- To tackle community safety issues in Purbeck
- To bring together main stakeholders with an interest and/or
direct role in community safety across Purbeck to work on common
issues
- Ensure community safety activity is responsive to issues raised
by the community
- To raise the profile of community safety in Purbeck
Objectives
- Take action, where appropriate to address issues raised via
PACT, Community Planning and Parish Planning
- Develop local initiatives/projects to address priorities raised
by the CDRP/CSAG and Community Planning/Parish Planning
processes
- Involve the local community in the problem solving process via
PACT
- Provide an ongoing channel of communication with the wider
community safety partnership structure including groups such as the
Eastern Dorset Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership and the
Safer Communities Group
- Act as the Community Safety Task Group of the Purbeck Community
Partnership, acting as the link between the Purbeck Community
Partnership and the CDRP/Safer Communities Group
- Raise awareness of community safety issues
