Purbeck Information and Field Study Group

Outdoor Learning and Resources

image: Students at Corfe CastlePurbeck has a large number of both residential and non-residential outdoor learning/field study centres, providing curriculum based learning covering subjects such as geology, ecology, tourism and nature conservation, as well as outdoor pursuits.

The Purbeck Information and Field Study Group (PIFSG) has representatives from all the local centres and works to improve the facilities and resources for visiting educational groups and also provides opportunities for professional development for the teachers and instructors in the Purbeck centres. It also works towards the greater understanding and protection of Purbeck's environment.

PIFSG welcomes comments from teachers/educators about how we can improve our service to schools.
