The
Lulworth Estate is situated in south west Purbeck and is owned
by the Weld
Family who live on the estate. The scenery around the area is
stunning, with the estate boasting some of the most dramatic
features of Purbeck and also forms part of the Jurassic
Coast World Heritage Site. Kimmeridge, Wool
and Chaldon Herring are all a short distance from
here.
West Lulworth is where you will find
Lulworth Cove with its perfectly rounded bay and variety of small
shops and eateries. Boat Trips
and Kayaking
are available from here.

A short walk from the Cove over the hill on the South West Coast
Path brings you to Durdle door with its magnificent arch and
beach.
There are also
easy or more
strenuous walks in the area.

Lulworth
Castle and Park with its beautiful grounds and chapel is
found in East Lulworth. The Castle was devastated by a fire in
1929 and has been restored in part to allow visitors the chance to
enter the Castle. There is also a small children's animal farm
and various events such as jousting are held during the
year. There is also a village pub and tea
rooms housed in the old school. Why not cycle from Wareham on
the East
Lulworth Ride?
Lulworth is an area to easily spend a few days visiting. There
is a Visitor Information Centre at the Cove and, although rocky,
the beaches are some of
the most beautiful in the area.
