This is a circular trail which
goes through Worth Matravers to Winspit Quarry and along the
South West Coast Path to Seacombe.
The trail was once used by Smugglers’ who under the cover
of darkness would store their smuggled goods in the hidden caves
and tunnels. There are spectacular sea cliffs and a secretive cove
along the way.
The walk starts from the public car park at Worth Matravers (small
charge) and should take about 3 hours at a relaxed pace.
A leaflet showing the route and points of interest is available
from the Purbeck Information and Heritage Centre,
South Street, Wareham Tel: 01929 552740 or alternatively
