Wareham Forest Way

image: Wareham Forest Way leaflet coverStretching from Wareham to Sturminster Marshall, the Wareham Forest Way discovers some of the less well known landscapes of north Purbeck. Breathtaking views and shady glades, an Iron Age hill fort and a wealth of wildlife make this a truly memorable walk. From Sturminster Marshall, you can join the Stour Valley Way or North Dorset Trailway to explore the rest of Dorset (external links).

A leaflet is available for a small charge from the Purbeck Information and Heritage Centre, South Street, Wareham tel: 01929 552740 or download a copy for free (see below).

NB: The Forestry Commission will be carrying out tree work within Wareham Forest between December 2008 and summer 2009. Diversions may be put in place to avoid these work areas.
