Please let us know your
availability as often as possible to keep our website and
Tourist Information Centres up-to-date. The most recently
updated accommodation will appear higher up on the list (depending
on search criteria).
If you need help or advice on how
to update your availability via our extranet then please call
our Tourist Information Centre on 01929 552740 who will arrange an
appointment to come and see you.
Purbeck District Council only
promotes quality assured accommodation and to benefit from our
marketing campaigns you need to be graded by the
AA, VisitBritain (Quality in
Tourism) or the

Purbeck
Tourism Fair 2010
The date for the 2010 Purbeck
Toursim Fair will be 17th March 2010 and the event will
take place at Lulworth Castle once again.
NEW - VISIT DORSET WEBSITE
GOES LIVE!!!
This is to let you know that the new tourism partnership
‘Destination Dorset’, uniting public, private and voluntary sectors
was launched in April 2009.
"Destination Dorset" aims to ensure that the tourism industry in
Dorset remains one of the most important industries in the county
and is able to meet the changing demands of the visitor. The first
Board meeting for Destination Dorset will take place next month in
June.
The partnership is working to a Business Plan, which
outlines its aspirations for implementing sustainable tourism
practices, improving the quality of our product, improving the
knowledge base and Dorset-wide marketing activity. More information
about the work of Destination Dorset can be found on
www.dorsetdmo.co.uk.
As part of this Plan, we are pleased to announce that a website
dedicated to promoting all that Dorset has to offer has just gone
live - www.visit-dorset.com.
We look forward to bringing you news of Destination Dorset’s
development over the coming months.
